Sustained By Grace, Strengthened To Go Forth
When we gather for worship, we make a commitment to engage. Hearing the Word connects us to God’s active presence throughout salvation history and in the present moment. We interpret Scripture and apply it through prayer and preaching. Celebrating with gorgeous music inspires us to raise our voices in song. We encounter Christ in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and then go out into the world, rejoicing in the power of the Spirit. When we worship together, we commit to showing up: both for one another and for a larger faith community that insists on the radical power of Love to enliven our hearts and change the world.
Since mid-March, our Sunday worship has been offered on Zoom (https://zoom.us/my/holyapostles). We gather online at 11:00 am for a service of Morning Prayer with preaching and music. Virtual “coffee hour” follows in breakout rooms, and on most Sundays from September through May there is an online Adult Forum from 12-12:45.
A simple service of Holy Eucharist takes place on site on Monday evenings at 5:30 pm. The rest of our weekday services happen on Zoom, including Insight Bible Study and Prayer on Tuesdays at 6:15 pm, Morning Prayer on Wednesdays at 8:30 am, and Compline on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm.
All are welcome, always. Worship is a time to deepen the faith within us and evolve in our understanding of ourselves as beloved children of God. Word and Sacraments strengthen our community as we grow together in the sacrificial, reconciling, lifegiving love of Jesus Christ.
