The Rev. Deacon Robert A. Jacobs

Deacon Bob was ordained a Deacon in 1992 and has been the Deacon at Holy Apostles since 2010. Prior to coming to Holy Apostles, Bob went back to his parish in 1992, St. Philips in Harlem; in 1994 was Chaplain at Roosevelt Hospital on the Westside of Manhattan; in 1997 was Senior Deacon at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Divine. His focus is Pastoral Care, developing equipping others in various ministries within the church and Liturgy. Bob is also a member of various committees within the diocese. He also devotes a portion of his time to Civic duties and community concerns.

Although Bob lives in New Jersey, he grew in New York, graduated from the American Institute of Banking and has a BS degree from Manhattan College in Marketing. While attending AIB and College he had a career in Banking for over 45 years, working in several major banks in New York City in management positions.

He is married, has three children and three grandchildren.
